MAILBOX SERVICE AGREEMENTParties
This Mailbox Service Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into between:
Mail Boxes Etc. Denmark (the “Company”), a business operating in Denmark; and
The customer identified in the sign-up form (the “Customer”).
The Agreement governs the Customer’s use of a private mailbox (the “Mailbox”) and related services provided by the Company. It is governed by the laws of the City of Copenhagen, Denmark.
1. Permitted Use & Compliance
The Customer shall not use the Mailbox or any Company services for any unlawful, illegitimate, or fraudulent purpose, or for any purpose prohibited by Danish authorities. All use must comply with applicable Danish national, regional, and local laws.
Required Identification
Every individual or entity must submit:
Valid photo ID (passport or Nordic driving licence; non-Nordic licence holders must also provide a passport photo);
Proof of residential address;
Company registration (CVR) where applicable; and
Any other document reasonably requested by the Company.
2. Confidentiality & Updates
This Agreement and all submitted documents are confidential, except where disclosure is required by law enforcement, government agencies, or court order.
The Customer shall:
Complete any additional forms upon request; and
Sign an updated Agreement and provide fresh documentation when requested.
Multiple Businesses
Each separate CVR number is treated as a distinct entity and requires its own dedicated Mailbox. The Customer may:
Register each company separately (with unique login credentials); or
Request additional Mailboxes under the same login (notify the Company immediately).
3. Access & Authority
Possession of the Mailbox username and password authorises the holder to collect all contents.
In case of the Customer’s death or incapacity, the Company will release mail or packages only upon receipt of valid court orders, executor instructions, trustee directions, or equivalent legal authority.
4. Sign-Up Fee
A non-refundable Sign-Up Fee of DKK 450 (excl. VAT) covers the legally required KYC validation process and is charged to the Customer’s card upon approval of the application and receipt of all required documents.
For multiple CVR registrations, a separate Sign-Up Fee applies per CVR.
The validation process considers mandatory completion of the Mail Boxes Etc. - Virtual address services KYC FORM (https://formfacade.com/public/105941650232018963446/all/form/1FAIpQLScCsDKTPqn-UKiM2TPnICEcHXT0cfLPU-UTyfhcbUEQpYwESA).
5. Post-Termination Mail Handling
Upon expiry, cancellation, or termination of this Agreement, the Company will (at its election):

Fees & Conditions
a. Forwarding
Re-mail the Customer’s mail for up to 6 months.
Postage, packaging, and forwarding fees paid in advance; plus monthly storage: DKK 100 (Month 1), amount for Months 2–6 advised in advance. Customer must arrange forwarding prior to termination.
b. Storage
Hold mail/packages for up to 6 months.
DKK 150/month storage + per-visit service fee (to be advised). Customer must arrange storage prior to termination.
c. Short-Term Retention
Hold non-unsolicited mail for 10 days if no forwarding is arranged.
Thereafter, mail/packages may be discarded or destroyed.
d. Unsolicited Mail
Junk mail, occupant mail, advertising, etc.
Discarded immediately.
e. Non-Postal Deliveries
Packages from commercial couriers (not PostNord).
Refused unless prior signature arrangements are made.
6. Refusal & Disposal After Termination
After termination, the Company may:
a. Refuse any mail or package addressed to the Customer; and
b. Discard or destroy any remaining mail or packages.
7. Immediate Cancellation After Sign-Up
If the Customer cancels immediately after signing up (even before KYC completion):
Monthly plan: No refund; full subscription fee retained as administrative charge.
Annual plan: 10 % withheld as administration fee; 90 % refunded within 3–5 business days.
8. Term & Renewal
The initial term is the period paid for at sign-up. Renewal is at the Company’s sole discretion and requires payment of the renewal fee.
9. Termination for Cause
The Company may terminate this Agreement for good cause with 30 days’ written notice. Good cause includes (without limitation):
a. Abandonment of the Mailbox;
b. Unlawful, illegitimate, or fraudulent use;
c. Non-payment;
d. Excessive mail/package volume;
e. Abusive or disruptive behaviour;
f. Any breach of this Agreement.
Actions of any person authorised by the Customer are attributed to the Customer.
10. Notices
Notices placed in the Mailbox are deemed delivered after 24 hours. Personal delivery is immediate.
Termination notices for abandonment are deemed delivered:
Next day via commercial courier or PostNord express; or
5 days after certified mail (return receipt, postage prepaid) to the Customer’s last known address—whichever is earlier.
11. Mail Acceptance & Collection
The Company, as the Customer’s agent, will accept all PostNord mail (including registered/certified). Commercial courier packages requiring signature will be accepted only if pre-arranged.
Packages not collected within 3 days of notification incur DKK 10/day storage (payable before release).
Refused items will be returned to the sender at the Customer’s expense.
C.O.D. items require prior arrangement and pre-payment.
12. Indemnity
The Customer shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from the Customer’s use or possession of the Mailbox, delivery failures, loss/damage to contents, or breach of law.
13. Liability Cap
The Company’s total liability for any claim under this Agreement is limited to DKK 700, regardless of the claim’s nature.
14. Correct Addressing
The Customer must use the exact Mailbox address provided in Section 3 without alteration. Incorrectly addressed mail will be returned by PostNord marked “Undeliverable”.
15. Courier Deliveries & ID
Commercial couriers must deliver to the Company’s street address (not a P.O. Box). “P.O. Box” may only appear in a Caller Service format.
At signing, the Customer must present two valid IDs, one with photo. This Agreement may only be amended in writing signed by both parties (email acceptable).
16. Inspection Rights
The Company may open and inspect any damaged or suspicious mail/packages.
17. No Sue Clause & Compliance
By accepting this Agreement, the Customer waives any right to sue the Company for any reason in exchange for the Mailbox and services. The Customer agrees to comply with Danish and Copenhagen laws (as provided in writing or explained verbally) and to seek clarification when needed.
18. Further Indemnity
The Customer shall indemnify the Company and its personnel against all claims, lawsuits, judgments, and costs (including attorneys’ fees) related to the services.
19. Entire Agreement
This Agreement (including any appendices) is the complete and exclusive statement of the parties’ understanding and supersedes all prior agreements, whether oral or written.
20. Amendments
Amendments require written agreement (email suffices) signed by authorised representatives of both parties.
21. Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to reflect the parties’ intent; all other provisions remain in force.
22. No Assignment
Neither party may assign this Agreement without the other’s written consent.
23. No Waiver
Delay or partial exercise of any right does not waive that or any other right.
24. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Copenhagen, Denmark, excluding conflict-of-law principles and any application of laws from other jurisdictions. Territories and protectorates outside mainland Denmark are excluded.
25. Exclusion of CISG
The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) and all other UN laws are expressly excluded.
26. Exclusive Jurisdiction
Any dispute arising from this Agreement must be brought exclusively in the courts of competent jurisdiction in Copenhagen. Each party consents to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.
27. Data Storage & Privacy
KYC data is stored securely via Formfacade (cloud platform). The Customer may review Formfacade’s privacy policy at the link provided during sign-up. The Company continuously monitors data security.
Acceptance
By completing the sign-up process and clicking “Accept”, the Customer acknowledges reading, understanding, and agreeing to be bound by this Agreement.
